Standard Langtang Valley Trek Itinerary (7-11 Days)

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m)

A scenic 7-8 hour drive winding through terraced hills and rural settlements along the Trishuli River.

Day 2: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m)

The trail crosses the Bhote Koshi River and ascends through dense oak and rhododendron forests, following the Langtang Khola.

Day 3: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m)

As the tree line recedes, the valley opens up, offering the first spectacular views of Langtang Lirung. You will pass through Ghoda Tabela and arrive at the rebuilt Langtang Village.

Day 4: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m)

A shorter trekking day taking you past mani walls, water-driven prayer wheels, and yak pastures to the beautiful Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 5: Acclimatization and Exploration Day

Spend the day exploring the glacier system or hike up to Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) for breathtaking mountain panoramas. Visit the traditional local cheese factory.

Day 6 & 7: The Return Journey

Retrace your steps back through Lama Hotel and down to Syabrubesi before driving back to Kathmandu, concluding your unforgettable adventure.

Best Time for the Langtang Valley Trek
