Frequently Asked Questions

How difficult is the Thorong La Pass?

Crossing the pass is strenuous. It involves reaching an altitude of 5,416 meters, which means there is significantly less oxygen. Proper acclimatization in Manang and a slow, steady pace are essential. You do not need technical climbing gear, just excellent stamina.

Has road construction ruined the Annapurna Circuit?

While roads have been built in the lower valleys, our guides utilize the New Annapurna Trekking Trails (NATT). These alternative trails keep you off the dusty roads and on beautiful, quiet footpaths for the vast majority of the trek.

Can I book this trek from Australia or overseas?

Yes, we specialize in organizing complete packages for our international clients. Your booking includes airport pickups, all ground transportation, domestic flights from Jomsom to Pokhara, and all necessary permits.
